DWV Reducing 45 Degree Junction
Sizes: 100mm to 300mm
The DWV Reducing 45 Degree Junction is a high-quality PVC-U fitting designed to join a smaller branch line into a larger main pipe run at a 45° angle. This configuration ensures smooth directional flow and reduced turbulence, making it ideal for effective waste and drainage management in both domestic and commercial applications.
Key Features:
- 45° junction for streamlined flow and minimal blockages
- Reducing outlet allows for connection of smaller branch pipes
- Main run and branch available in various size combinations
- Pipe fits internally for secure and watertight installation
- Manufactured from durable, pale-grey PVC-U
- Lightweight and easy to handle
- Compatible with other DWV fittings and pipes
Applications:
Suitable for use in a wide range of DWV systems, including:
- Sewerage lines
- Vents and ventilation points
- Grey water and black water systems
- Stormwater drainage
- Wastewater discharge from basins, sinks, and household appliances
Material & Assembly:
Constructed from PVC-U (Unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride), this junction offers excellent performance characteristics:
- Corrosion and chemical resistance
- High mechanical strength
- Resistant to both micro- and macro-biological attack
- Easy to install using solvent cement (SCJ) jointing system
Installation Notes:
- Ensure correct ventilation points are installed to support uninterrupted flow
- Join using solvent cement per the PVC-U installation guidelines
- Full mechanical strength achieved after 24 hours of curing
- Designed for both above-ground and underground use
- Can be exposed to UV for short periods, but long-term protection is recommended
Standards & Performance:
- Operating temperature range: 0°C to 50°C
- Complies with AS/NZS 1260 for DWV systems
- Note: All “90-degree” fittings are manufactured between 85–88° to optimise drainage flow
This DWV Reducing Junction is part of a full system range, available in sizes from 100mm to 300mm, offering reliable and flexible plumbing solutions across various installations.
