Undermount Sinks

Under-Mount Sinks Collection – Stylish, Durable, and Seamless Solutions for Kitchens & Laundries

1. What Makes Under-Mount Sinks So Popular?

An under-mount sink, also known as an undermount or undercounter sink, is installed beneath the benchtop—creating a sleek, rim-free look that elevates both function and style. Compared to traditional drop-in sinks, this design allows crumbs and spills to be swept straight from the countertop into the sink with zero obstruction. This seamless integration is not just visually appealing—it’s highly practical and reduces cleaning time.

Although installation can be more involved than with drop-ins, requiring precise cuts and sealing, the benefits—like enhanced aesthetics and increased countertop space—make it a compelling choice for modern kitchens and laundries.

2. Advantages of Choosing an Under-Mount Sink

• Streamlined Look & Easy Maintenance: With no raised edges, wiping surfaces clean becomes effortless, keeping your benchtops hygienic.

• Maximised Benchtop Space: No lip or rim means a contiguous surface, giving you more workspace.

• Enhanced Resale Appeal: Undermount sinks offer a high-end appearance that is increasingly standard in newer, quality-conscious homes.Durability Across Material Options: From stainless steel to granite composite, modern sinks offer long-lasting performance with stylish finishes.

3. Materials & Styles in Our Collection

At Burdens Bathrooms, we offer a wide selection of under-mount sinks designed to suit different tastes, needs, and budgets:

Stainless Steel Sinks

• Fienza Hana Single Bowl (40 L): Crafted from high-quality 1.2 mm 304 stainless steel, this sink includes anti-condensation coating, sound-dampening panels, and comes with a basket waste and mounting set.

• Clark Prism Large Single Bowl: A polished, contemporary square design with a generous bowl (54.5 L) and rear-positioned waste for easier storage access—also made from durable 304 stainless steel.

Composite & Granite Options

• Abey Schock Typos Double Bowl (Onyx): Made from durable, German-engineered Nanogranite (Cristalite®), this sink combines stylized aesthetics with antibacterial and stain-resistant performance—ideal for everyday use.

4. Sizing, Shape, and Configuration Flexibility

• Single vs Double Bowls: Opt for a spacious single-bowl layout for large cooking tasks, or a practical double-bowl setup for multitasking—like wash and prep, or hand-washing and dish-loading.

• Shape Considerations: Square and rectangular bowls (e.g., Clark Prism) offer modern appeal, while softer rounded forms suit more traditional aesthetics.

• Installation Compatibility: Most under-mount sinks work best with stone, engineered, or solid-surface benchtops—ensure your countertop material can be precisely cut and sealed.
