Screwed Brass fittings are manufactured from brass made to Australian Standards. The standards are designed to provide a material that is safe for drinking and gas applications as well as meeting a mechanical strength and chemical resistance. All this ensures brass made to Australian Standards is safe, strong and long lasting. DZR (DR) brass is used throughout Australia. It stands for "dezincified brass" and has been specified to meet Australia's harsh environment. Much of the brass is recycled and each batch is tested to ensure it complies with Australian Standards.
Teflon and a paste (eg Mirror paste) is recommended to complete consistant watertight seals.
All screwed brassware is covered by a WaterMark approval for all sizes and comply to AS3688.
Maximum working temperature 60Â °C and maximum pressure rating 2000kPa.
