The kits are available in 750mm, 900mm, 1200mm, 1500mm and 2250mm lengths, with the option to cut to length or join sections together where required.

20mm Snap-Off Upstand

The Strip Grate VL features a 20mm removable snap-off upstand along the collection channel. When the drain is installed against a wall, the upstand helps provide a practical surface for integrating the waterproofing system and allows tiling to be completed neatly against the wall.

If the drain is being positioned away from the wall, the upstand can be broken off to suit the installation.

Waterproofing Flange

A 20mm flange is incorporated into the collection channel to allow the drain to be waterproofed into place as part of the shower floor installation.

Once the channel has been installed into the shower base, the screed can be run up to the drain. The waterproofing system can then be applied over the screed and grate system before the area is prepared for tiling.

Easy to Install

The Strip Grate VL is designed to provide a straightforward installation process for tradespeople. The grate and collection channel can be cut to the required size, with the end caps and spigot glued into position before the system is fitted into the shower base.

Once the screed and waterproofing have been completed, the shower floor can be tiled. The unique spacer system allows the grate to be raised to the appropriate height, helping it sit flush with the surrounding floor tiles.

Connection to Plumbing

The collection channel is designed to integrate directly into the plumbing system and can connect to a 50mm PVC S-trap. The ability to position the spigot along the collection channel provides additional flexibility when aligning the shower drain with the plumbing configuration.
